Meet Claudia – Art Instructor & Author
With over 25 years of experience as an art instructor and author, Claudia is passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities unlock their creativity through art. As the founder of Claudia’s Art Therapy, she has taught more than 1,000 classes across Southern California — from Los Angeles County and Orange County library systems to city municipalities and physical rehabilitation centers.
Claudia specializes in teaching the fundamentals of art, therapeutic art practices, and fashion sketching using a wide variety of mediums including pencil, watercolor, acrylic, clay, and more. Her signature art methods are carefully designed to be inclusive and accessible to everyone — including toddlers, teens, adults, seniors, and individuals with special needs.
Claudia believes in meeting students where they are and nurturing their unique creative potential, no matter their background or ability level.
Today, Claudia’s Art Therapy serves a global community, offering virtual art classes in all U.S. time zones and select international locations — making healing, growth, and self-expression through art more accessible than ever.

CLASS OVERVIEW
Basic Art Techniques
This exciting class will teach students drawing fundamentals, including contour drawing, perspective, shading, proportion & still life rendering. Mixed media will be used.
Painting with Watercolors
Students will learn watercolor art techniques including how to mix colors. Students will also be able to complete works of art using their watercolor skills.
Painting with Acrylics
Students will learn about different types of acrylics and different painting techniques.
Paint Night
Relax and enjoy an evening of art. Students will complete a work of art on canvas. Acrylic paint will be used.
Contemporary Art Techniques
Students will learn sketching techniques with an emphasis on contemporary art. Mixed media will be used.
Figure Drawing (Person & Face)
Students will learn the fundamentals and proportions for both the body and face. They will learn how to draw both male and female figures.
Fashion Sketching
This class teaches the fundamentals of fashion illustration. Students will learn to draw female and male fashion models used as a basis for drawing the idealized proportions.
Students will also learn how to design a line of clothing.
Self Portrait
Students will learn face proportions as well as shading. They will complete their portrait. Pencil will be used.
